Apps of geometry
Hi! Today i'm going to show you some apps in which students can work the geometry in a different way, learning by gaming. This methodology is known as gamification.
1- Geometría Montessori:
The Montessori method applied to the learning of geometry through the Montessori Geometry app, designed for kids from 5 years old and with a very manipulative approach. It allows to work the forms, both two-dimensional and three-dimensional, through simple games and personal discovery.
2- Geoboard:
A very curious and well developed app to learn geometry from the perspective of Primary and Secondary education. Geoboard provides us with a work table in which, with a series of ropes, we will have to draw certain polygons. This process will help us to calculate areas and lengths, which in turn will help reinforce different concepts of geometry and Mathematics in the school setting. 3- Geogebra:
One of the problems when facing studies of algebra, geometry and calculation is the need to understand where all these numbers and functions fit spatially. To interpret the data and use dynamic systems to support the study there are many programs, but few as intuitive and direct as Geogebra, which over the years has become one of the best mathematical educational tools we can find.
4- Augmet:
Augment is an app in which students can see the objects in 3D in augmented reality, in this way they have the content of the geometry in a visual way. They can imagine how is it in the real life and not only in a projective way in the paper.
5- Arloon:
Studying geometry with paper polygons is a thing of the past. Now, in the new technological age, applications such as Arloon Geometry are at the forefront of the interactive teaching of geometry through mobile devices.
