TANGRAM

Hi all!
Today i'm going to speak about tangram.

The Tangram is a puzzle that is composed of 7 pieces: a parallelogram (rhomboid), a square and 5 triangles. The objective of this game is to create figures using the 7 pieces. The pieces should be touched but not overlapped. The Tangram originated quite possibly from the yanjitu furniture set during the Song Dynasty. According to Chinese historical records, this furniture was originally formed by a set of 6 rectangular tables. Later a triangular table was added and the people could arrange the tables so that they formed a large square table. There was another variation later, during the Ming Dynasty, and a little later it was when it became a game.

You can use it in different ways, for example to make different forms and calculare areas. It is a good tool for geometry subject.
